Bottom Line
We won’t stay anywhere else in Steyr.

• Our room was very spacious and was in the area that has not been remodeled.
• The location is very convenient. Our room overlooked the main street.
• There are 2 lifts – one in the bar area land the other in the rear. If your room is in the older area, you will still have to negotiate a few steps and winding hallways with your luggage.

Parking

• Plan well in advance and ask the Hotel Mader for a parking space.
• Set your GPS for the APCOA parking garage near the city center, then walk to the hotel and get directions to their parking.
• Or, drive directly to the hotel. There are parking spaces along the street. If you find one open, that’s a much better place to unload your luggage. This parking requires a ticket from the machine on the street and is limited to 1 hour.
• Hotel parking is 4 spaces out of about a dozen in an open garage at the end of the city center. You will need a key to open the barrier. I found it very helpful to walk to the garage before trying to drive it – it isn’t obvious.
