First impressions…

  • By far the most varied Christmas market we’ve seen – everything from the traditional food and crafts to kitchen appliance demos
  • Very big – in the 200+ stalls category
  • Crowded but not like the stop-and-go lines at Frankfurt

Don’t miss…

  • The old castle (nightly concert in the courtyard)

Next time…

  • Visit some of the nearby markets such as Esslingen (medieval theme) and Ludwigsburg (baroque theme)

If you drive…

  • Standard warning – check with the hotel in advance about parking

Beaten path index (See the key here)

  • Cameras: 2
  • Language: 2
  • Path: 1
  • Tourists: 2

Street performer…
We love street performers and this may be the best we’ve ever seen. Petrica Bohak is playing the cimbalom (hammered dulcimer).

Bottom line…
I’m glad we went, but we would probably choose a market we have not visited instead of a return visit here.
