Bottom line…
We stopped at Saverne briefly on the way from Strasbourg to Trier. We stopped because one website described it as being the smallest Christmas market in Alsace and having craftsmen from “all over Europe.” Unless we missed something, the market is 4-5 booths, a skating rink, and a children’s ride. I’m glad we stopped because it was certainly off the beaten path, but we wouldn’t feel a need for a repeat visit.
